#2: ING Bike Team
Moving from the fourth ranked team to the second is ING Bike Team. Since 2004, they have steadily moved up in ranking. Can they make it to #1 this year and take the coveted spot from Barclays Chain Gang? Led by team captains Edgar Bautista, Steve Nettler & Benjamin Emanuel, this team, of 86, doubled in size in 2013 and had their best year yet raising an outstanding $114,993!
#3: JPMorgan Chase
JPMorgan Chase has remained one of our consistent top teams since 2004. The team had 133 members who raised $107,964 which is less than $1,000 short of their highest fundraising year in 2012! We think that’s a pretty amazing feat two years in a row. Equally impressive, in 2011, they nearly tripled what they raised in 2010. Congratulations to the leadership of team captains: Jeff Matusow, Rob Moore, Matthew Applegate, David Fucio, Fran Pak, and Anthony Cavanna.
#4: Tire Team
This team made their debut in 2012 with many team members completing the 30 mile route using hand cycles. Led by their fearless leader David Greenstein, a member of our board, this team of 29 raised $23,018. They also captured our Rookie Team of the Year award. In 2013, they doubled their team members to 60 and nearly quadrupled their fundraising and raised $83,195. The possibilities for this team are endless. We are always happy to have them at Bike MS NYC.
