Routes

The New York City – Southern New York Chapter offers one ride, three different routes. Choose your challenge with route options for all cycling abilities. Enjoy a traffic-free 30 mile route circling Manhattan, or ride traffic-free through the Holland Tunnel, and experience the 55 or 100 mile routes that wind through New Jersey, and Rockland County. All routes will begin and end in Manhattan at Pier 92/94

Bike 2013 30-mile route map

30 Mile Ride: 

For participants of all levels. Experience Manhattan TRAFFIC FREE via the Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive, Harlem River Drive and the West Side Highway.  This route is primarily flat and does not have any steep hills.

All participants must be able to pedal their own bike. In order to ensure the safety of all the participants, absolutely no tag-a-longs, bike seats, burleys or carriers will be allowed on the route. Tandems are permitted.

Bike MS New York City has an age minimum of 12 years to participate. Participants between the ages of 12 and 17 must be accompanied by a guardian and submit a notarized waiver. Click here for more details

*The ride starts at 7:30 a.m. SHARP. All 30 and 55-mile participants must be able to maintain a minimum speed of 10 mph. All 100-mile participants must be able to maintain a minimum speed of 12 mph. Participants who are not able to maintain these speeds will be picked up by our route support vehicles.
